Yes. BASELINE 
was designed by a former plumber with simple installation in mind. It installs much like a hot water unit: connect the inlet and outlet, plumb the drain line, then set the controller.
That’s it. No time-consuming assembly or complicated setup. A licensed plumber can install it using a straightforward, familiar process.
Yes. BASELINE can be installed outdoors when fitted with the included weatherproof covers. Australian conditions are harsh, the premium insulated covers are designed to protect both the tank and controller from the elements.
BASELINE is designed predominantly for mains water. For tank, bore, or other water sources, we recommend a comprehensive water test prior to installation. High iron and other compounds can affect filter performance and void warranty. Non-mains water sources may also require UV treatment or additional pre-filtration, and it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure their water source is safe for consumption.
All filtration involves some pressure loss, that’s the nature of how filters work. BASELINE ‘s self-cleaning backwash cycle prevents the gradual pressure drop typical of cartridge systems. We anticipate pressure loss of approximately 100kPa at the time of install.

BASELINE requires almost maintenance for years, instead of months. The system automatically backwashes weekly to flush trapped contaminants and renew the media. There are no cartridges to change and no subscriptions to manage. Just check the controller for errors every month. Here is what happens when a cartridge filter is not changed.
There are many variables when considering filter life. The quality of the incoming water, the amount of chemical and sediment load, the water pressure and amount of usage. There is no definitive figure, but as a guide BASELINE is designed with long life in mind. It holds around 18X the carbon of traditional systems and performs a backwash instead of holding onto trapped sediment. This gives you a system that filters typically for years instead of months.
