compromise.BASELINE Water was founded by Sam, an industry insider and long time optimiser with a plumbing trade background, on one principle: Australia deserves better water than what’s currently delivered to our taps.
Sam started out in the plumbing trade, then spent almost ten years as a manager at Australia’s largest ASX-listed plumbing supplier. In that time he saw just about every filter and cartridge system sold in this country, including plenty marketed as premium.
His attention to detail goes back further, to his dad. He was an athlete who trained every day, tracked what he ate, read everything he could find and took his health seriously long before it was something people posted about. He brought that same standard to everything he did, and Sam grew up around it.
That habit of getting the details right is what BASELINE is built on.
Working in the industry took Sam to trade shows overseas, where he spent time with engineers doing filtration differently. Many were building self-cleaning whole-home systems designed to run for years with very little upkeep. Back home, most Australian households were still being sold cartridges that need replacing every few months.
Outside of work, Sam trains in martial arts and has spent years reading about health and performance. The more he learned, the more he noticed how often water came up. It’s in your coffee, your shower and the supplements you take, and it runs through every part of your home.
He wanted better water for his own home and couldn’t find a system in Australia that met his standards, so he built one.
